Team- Who has built this product? What expertise do they have?
TAM- What is the total addressable market?
Traction- MVP? Is there a pilot project? What is their monthly recurring revenue?
Timing- Why this team? Why this idea? Why now?
Use the 6 P’s of due diligence to further evaluate companies.
(Intellectual) Property- Patented? IP protection in/outside the US?
Product Clearance- 501(k) clearance? FDA clinical trials?
Physician Feedback- Have they consulted physicians? Do they have a CMO?
Payment- What is the cost per unit? How will it generate revenue?
Pilots- How were pilots designed? Results?
Publication- Is their solution evidence-based? Compare it to the ‘gold standard’.
